Applications are invited for the recruitment of contractual positions of Research Associate (RA) (2 no.), Young Professional-II (4 no.) and Lab Assistant (2 no.) under the project ‘Clean Plant Programme (CPP)-IARI’ in the Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR- Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi - 110012. The positions are unreserved, temporary and co-terminus with the project. The institution reserves the right to modify the number of vacancies. • Post 1:Research Associate (RA)

• Essential Qualification: with Doctoral degree: Ph.D. in Plant Pathology/Virology/Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/ any relevant discipline of life sciences with desirable experience. OR With
• Master’s degree holders: Master's degree in Plant Pathology/Virology/Molecular Biology /Biotechnology /Bioinformatics/ any relevant discipline of life sciences with 4/5 years of Bachelor's degree having lst division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least three years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/Training/other engagements as circulated vide F. No. 2-9/20l2- HRD dated 25.04.2014 and one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) / NAAS rated (≥4.0) Journal as per OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of' DST dated 30.01.2019
• Desirable:

1. Research experience in Plant Virology/Virus Diagnostics/Molecular Biology & Biotechnologywith knowledge of Ubuntu Linux, CLC Genomics workbench, OmicsBox and bioinformatics, HTS data analysis, virome analysis and scientific writing; as evident from publications in scientific journals with high impact factor.
2. Candidates having >2 research papers on virome /HTS analysis/bioinformatics published in peerreviewed journals with high impact factor will be preferred.

• Post 2: Young Professional-II (YP-II)

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Plant Pathology/Virology/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/ / any relevant discipline of life sciences.
• Desirable: Research experience in Plant Virology/Virus Diagnostics/Molecular Biology & Biotechnology with knowledge of Computer and bioinformatics, NGS data analysis.

• Post 3: Lab Assistant (LA)

• Essential:

1. Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university/Institute and
2. Minimum one year experience in working with research laboratory dealing with plants and knowledge of plant maintenance under experimental conditions (controlled plant growth chambers), computer, research data recording and maintenance.

• Desirable:

1. Efficient inworking with MS Office, MS Excel, periodic maintenance of research data and analysis
2. Plant growth media preparation, laboratory media preparation & autoclaving and lab maintenance.
