Greenhouse Supervisor Job in ASPL Hyderabad

Job Description:

ASPL is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Greenhouse Supervisor to oversee operations at our high-tech protected cultivation and commercial nursery facility in Hyderabad. The supervisor will play a critical role in managing crop microclimates, automated systems, and production timelines to ensure high-yield, premium-quality outputs for corporate supply chains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Climate and Environmental Control: Monitor and adjust greenhouse microclimate parameters including temperature, relative humidity, light intensity, and ventilation using automated control software.
• Fertigation & Nutrition Management: Supervise the preparation and application of nutrient solutions, managing EC (Electrical Conductivity) and pH levels tailored to specific crop growth stages.
• Crop Protection & IPM: Implement strict Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols. Conduct daily crop scouting to identify, report, and treat early signs of pest infestations or plant diseases.
• Labor Coordination: Manage, train, and schedule daily field laborers for specialized tasks such as pruning, trellising, pollination, and precise grading during harvest.
• Data Logging & Auditing: Maintain rigorous daily logs of environmental conditions, fertilizer usage, crop yields, and mortality rates to optimize future production cycles.

Candidate Profile:

• Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience working within automated polyhouses, shade nets, or advanced hydroponic setups (such as coco-peat, NFT, or drip irrigation systems).
• Problem Solving: Ability to quickly calibrate automated dosing pumps, sensor probes, and troubleshooting irrigation system clogs.
• Leadership Skills: Proven capability to lead and motivate a rural workforce while strictly enforcing hygiene and bio-security protocols (e.g., sanitation checks before entering zones).
• Language Fluency: Effective everyday communication skills in Telugu and English/Hindi.
