Soil Science Jobs as Assistant Professor at PAU

Qualification:
i) B.Sc. (Agri.)/B.Sc. (Horticulture)/B.Sc. (Forestry)/B.Sc.
ii) Master’s degree in Soil Science
iii) At least second division at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Master’s level.
iv) Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) in the relevant discipline conducted by ASRB/UGC/CSIR with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi) rated refereed journal and equivalent.
v) Must have passed Matric level certificate of Punjabi language from Punjab School Education Board or any other recognized Board (as first or second language).

Job Responsibilities:
i) To undertake extension education /research/teaching activities.
ii) To take initiative for developing projects for strengthening extension/ research/ teaching programmes.
iii) Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.

Venue:
Note 1: A candidate who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D. degree in the subject required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.

Note 2:The candidate holding Doctorate degree in the relevant subject required at Master’s level shall be exempted from passing NET provided, it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC regulations 2009 and
- The candidate has minimum 2 full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 5.0 on the last date of submission of application,
OR
- The candidate has full length paper(s) having cumulative NAAS rating not less than 10.0 on the last date of submission of applications,
OR
- The candidate has minimum 4 publications in the journals rated and/or not rated by NAAS on the last date of submission of application. The publications will be evaluated by the committee.

How to Apply : Applications from the eligible candidates are invited for the posts on the prescribed form (along with detailed qualifications, experience requirements & other relevant information) obtainable from the respective offices mentioned below against each post on any working day from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. in cash at the counter by 9.1.2017 for these posts.

The application forms can also be obtained by post from these concerned offices by sending requisite cost of the application form in the shape of bank draft in favour of the Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana along with self-addressed envelope (28x12 cms) bearing postage stamps of Rs.40/- by 5.1.2017.

The duly completed application forms for the posts with prescribed fee (as mentioned below against each post) in the shape of Bank Draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana should reach in the concerned offices by 9.1.2017.
